ABOUT OUR FARM AND FARMER

Welcome! I am Kara and am so glad you are here! I am the flower farmer and owner of Blooming Joy Flower Company along with my husband, Robert. Our farm is about 40 miles SE of Nashville, Tennessee. Just a hop skip and a jump from Murfreesboro!

Our farm is just under 7 acres of pure beauty. Living here just 2 short years, we have actively been cultivating the land to grow top notch blooms and vegetables. Along with my husband and four children, our farm is home to several animals. We currently have an abundance of livestock that includes goats, turkeys, chickens and ducks. Our weekly egg shares are in demand as well as our homegrown and homemade goat cheese. Adding honey bees is our newest farm venture and hope to provide fresh local honey to customers soon!

Flowers became a big part of our farm in 2018. Servicing Murfreesboro and surround areas, we were able to deliver beautiful arrangements to individuals, provide flowers to our wholesale customers and generously bless others with the Joy that flowers bring. See why I think buying flowers locally is a good idea.

Dahlias became a quick favorite to grow last year! How could you not just fall in love with them? They are bold, beautiful and make a statement! Dahlias do not ship well so when you can find them from a local source, you have struck gold!

Late summer harvest. Sunflowers, Zinnias and Dahlias. The white dahlia “Cafe au Lait” has my heart in this photo!

Season changes is one aspect that I love about our farm. Spring and Summer offer bountiful flowers but Fall and Winter have their own perks too. I love creating Pumpkin centerpieces and Fresh Christmas Wreaths to make your home feel cozy.

Pumpkin centerpieces are a favorite as a hostess gift or to adorn your Thanksgiving table. Fresh cut wreaths that I personally hand tie are one of my favorite things about winter. The wreaths not only smell amazing but will last you long past the holidays.

We have a nice size heard of goats and are lucky enough to witness several births a year. This male kidd was especially beautiful with his blue eyes!

What can I be found doing when not in the field? Cooking in the kitchen! I love to have a bunch of ingredients and just whip something up. I don’t love doing the dishes though! I can eat avocados every day. Sprinkles of cayenne pepper on top. YUM! I also love reading medical articles. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 8 years on an Oncology/Med-Surg floor before staying at home full time with my four kids. Currently, our farm is not open to the public. Subscribe to our newsletter to get notified about special events, flash sales and happenings on the farm.We love to hear from you too! Contact Us . You can also check out this page to see where our flowers can be purchased around Murfreesboro. From our family to yours we appreciate you letting us serve you with our Tennessee grown flowers! - Kara Jamison, Blooming Joy Flower Company
